Background
Jaguarfly was born in a rather small coastal village and had an unremarkable childhood. Despite being the eldest of her Guardian siblings, her parents had no concerns about sending her off on her Search when it came time. Her Search was a short one that followed her instincts to the Hewn City of Sunbeam Ruins. Initially, the city yielded no Charge, leaving Jaguarfly to wander aimlessly for a few days of Searching. That is until the Night of the Nocturne came about.
During this shortest day of the year, Strange Chests dot the landscape. Outside the city, one of these chests beckoned Jaguarfly to open it. When she peered inside it she was greeted with a few ignorable trinkets and a Ghastcrown. The bewitching Ghastcrown commanded Jaguarfly’s attention and she reverently put it on, giving her witness to a sight she’ll never forget. Haunting figures danced across the sky and ethereal beings flitted between the trees. With this sight came the overpowering urge to protect the crown and Jaguarfly’s Search came to an end.

Jaguarfly didn’t immediately begin to study the spirits she could now see. She first sought a clan to settle in, one in a spirit-rich area. By fate or luck, this clan was the slowly emerging Diverque Sanctuarium. The Diverque Sanctuarium’s territory happened to be founded near a ley line and was surrounded by powerful magics that attracted spectors from all over.
The unexplored land around the Sanctuarium is rife with secrets and mysteries. One of these mysteries was a solitary alchemist whose rituals attracted many wraiths. Intrigued, and a bit worried, Jaguarfly attempted to get to know Fraces. In spite of consistent rejections, Jaguarfly was undeterred in her attempts. It took her saving him from some upset spirits during one of his more unstable rituals for Fraces’ attitude to change. After this Fraces reluctantly allowed Jaguarfly to tag along during rituals. Over time the private pair grew close and eventually became mates.

Current Life
A longtime member of the Sanctuarium, Jaguarfly has an honorary position of Elder despite never being on the Council itself. It’s rare she makes an appearance during a Council meeting but when necessary she’s there.
Most of Jaguarfly’s days are spent deep within the forest with her mate, studying and interacting with her spirits. When she does decide to visit the Sanctuarium it’s brief and typically to enjoy Lillya’s company or check up on her family. The only exceptions are festivals, where the jolly atmosphere attracts more spirits than the usual partygoer would suspect.
