Planeswalker barely remembered her previous clans. Not like they liked her presence, always whispering "generation one" and how she would "go for so much treasure". It was almost like they didn't acknowledge her actual existence - was she nothing more than a paycheck to them?

And then she was booted to another clan. This one was mostly silent about her sudden appearance. She couldn't remember why she left her first clan, really, but it was probably a good reason. She never added the memory to her pearl, so it was quickly forgotten.

Her second clan eventually traded her away for a little stockpile of supplies. What an insult! Was she worth nothing to them as a dragon? Her personality, her looks, her ideas? Nothing?

She steeled herself for the coming disappointment of being regarded as a sold object when brought to her new clan leaders. She mentally prepared herself for the loud discussion of the price to put her at, for how long, and to whom. She told herself over and over not to cry.

When Sincerity and Annoit looked her over and said, "Welcome to our clan," she felt something in her chest flutter. Hope?

"Your name will be Planeswalker," said the Fae in the typical monotone, "for you have walked many places to come here."

"Your job will be an ambassador," Annoit said, "for you have seen much and been many places."

Planeswalker didn't know what to say. What could anyone say? To be treated like an object, a walking pile of treasure... and then to be given a job, a name, a life?

Although it would be hard to wrestle it out of her, Planeswalker really did love the little Plague clan. And the rot? Meh, just a side effect - and it truly helped her feel like she was a part of something greater. She was respected, she travelled, she lived.

She was Planeswalker, the rotted Pearlcatcher. And she was so very, very happy.

However, one day Planeswalker felt the wanderlust of her heritage. With well wishes from her clanmates, she bid them farewell and left the Scarred Wasteland. Once again she traveled, passing the Sea of a Thousand Currents and the Ashfall Wastes. The breezes that called to her led her to the Windswept Plateau where she found another clan.

Excited whispers of a new "generation one" quickly spread through the clan, and again Planeswalker felt the same old apprehension. Would her wind brethren treat her as did her first two clans?

But much to her amazement, several dragons quickly came to greet her. They chattered happily and excitedly about how they too were generation one dragons and many of them looked a lot like her!

"Please, will you stay? Tell us about your travels!" These were the pleas from the dragons. And how could she say no?

So that's how Planeswalker returned to the flight of her birth. Her new clan putting her in a high position as a clan elder and council member. Her experience, wisdom, and knowledge lending itself well to the good of the clan.

She has not forgotten her beloved clan of Plague, and to this day she cultivates and cares for mushrooms in their honor. However, Planeswalker now feels a new joy as she had never had before. For now she was truly home.
