Biography

Otto There's a cold war coming, on the radio, I heard. One of Cog and Jarvis' four children. Otto is one of the quieter members of Acadia, although that doesn't mean he's reclusive - often he's one of the first to greet newcomers, and he's more than happy to show people around. Whenever he's home he can be found helping with whatever chores need doing, and he's a common sight in the kitchen and the farms in particular. By his own admission, Acadia and its people mean the world to him. Despite being robotic, Otto comes across as rather... unassuming. Forgettable, even. It helps that he's not the only robot here, but still - one would think that he'd stick more in people's minds. Even Jarvis tends to be less overlooked, and they're rarely physically present. This is by design. When Otto's not home, he works for the Runner Network - dragons who are Marked for exaltation, but refuse the call. Being robotic gives him quite a few perks in this department, and you'll find no better spy in the Stormlands. And if a few self-aware robots happen to disappear from servitude at the same time, well... just a coincidence, surely. |
Character Notes
♫ Life in Technicolor II
• Pronouns: he/they. When on a job he's perfectly fine with being called any pronoun, including it/its. Otto considers himself genderfluid, in contrast to the equally uncaring Cog, who considers such identifiers useless organic nonsense.
• Otto is a very quiet and observant sort. Compared to his parents and siblings this is unusual, as he lacks their dry sarcasm and more take-charge personalities. Not to say that he isn't capable of it - he just tends to be more of an earnest, laid-back, go-with-the-flow type.
• It takes a lot to earn Otto's trust, but once you manage it you've got a loyal friend for life. He also starts to get pretty chatty with people he trusts and has a tendency to ramble on and on about things he finds interesting.
• Otto's personality appears to have been derived from the façade that Cog puts out, except in Otto's case it's genuine. Both he and Cog find this hilarious.

OOC Notes
• HIVE fandragon! (HIVEmind, for real this time lmao. But that's an awkward name for a dragon, sooo... Otto Malpense it is :eyes:)
• Otto considers his closest friend to be Ultron, of all people. Ultron is weirdly tolerant of its sibling yammering nonstop into their private comm channel, and occasionally even moves surfaceward when it knows Otto's due to return home.
• Chase offered Otto what little training she could, though it wasn't really very much on account of their bodies being vastly different. He's also not much of an assassin, and finds harming people distasteful. Which isn't to say he's not capable of it - he just avoids it whenever possible. Mostly he's succeeded; his kill count's still in the single digits, and each and every one was in defense of Acadia itself.
• why are the emblems so badly placed on noc m staff pls
