Biography
|
Ultron There are no strings on me. One of Cog and Jarvis' four children. Ultron has the dubious distinction of being unknown to half of its own clan, because it's been underground for longer than some of them have even been alive. The fortress of Acadia extends deep into the mountains, and Ultron's custom-built robotic body is uniquely suited to delving the depths. Robots don't have to worry about food, after all. Or air. In terms of personality, Ultron is... unpleasant. Its aversion to interacting with people is not so much an aversion as it is an abhorrence - and it is not shy about making this known. Then on top of that it has also inherited its parents' intellect, Cog's distrust, and Jarvis' finely honed sass. People avoid it even when it's actually around, and it's quite happy with that. It's no surprise, then, that Ultron's many discoveries in the Acadian depths are known to no one but itself. Acadia is likely to uncover more of their home eventually, of course, but for the time being the depths are Ultron's domain alone. At least it isn't malicious. ...Hopefully. |
Character Notes
• Pronouns: it/its > xe/xem > he/him > everything else. This causes a bit of friction with Cog, who is morally opposed to the use of it/its for sapients - thankfully the manner in which they and Ultron communicate doesn't use gender pronouns at all, so the issue is more or less ignored.
• Body aesthetic: imagine an Imperial-centipede. Very long and narrow, highly segmented and flexible, and a good dozen limbs, each with dexterous hands with opposable thumbs. It tends to be extremely unnerving for most dragons/beastfolk to watch - its movements are more insectoid than anything else, and its many limbs allow it to crawl over and under things easily. It also tends to crawl on the ceiling, which adds to the creepiness. On the bright side, it has no wings and is flightless - the body is completely designed around subterranean movement.
• Has a very deep, electronic voice. This does not help with the creepy factor whatsoever (which is kinda on purpose).
• Ultron's relationship with the rest of its family is... strained. Jarvis in particular is rather frightened of their offspring, though they try not to show it. Cog and Otto, on the other hand, are the closest thing Ultron has to friends. Otto in particular makes a point to get in contact with Ultron whenever he's home, and Ultron is surprisingly tolerant of him.
OOC Notes
• MCU fandragon!
Note to self: freight railway/elevator that connects to Reese's stuff. One of the trains still works?
Definitely do some kind of messed up AI down there too - Help Wanted vibes.
Also, Ultron endgame - works with Reese?? It'd probably love that
