Personality

A bit more vocal about her distaste with Reaper than Maddox, but would never act on it (or talk about it around the god). Reaper has no qualms in harming Maddox if she gets too out of line, and he is the last thing she has from her old life. She learned that the hard way.
Much like Maddox is of her, she is fiercely protective of him. She wears a hood to match him and support him, despite his self consciousness. Kind of ironic, since she is more physically damaged.
Standoffish, Vex doesn’t trust easily. If one breaks that trust, she can hold a grudge over it for years. She never forgets someone who wronged her.

History
Vex woke up in a haze- a black haze, one that rolled in from the edges of camp and filled her lungs with pain. Maddox was shouting at her, telling her to rouse the clan. She went to touch her friend, and found her cold to the touch. Terror lanced through her like an arrow, and she sprang up, stumbling from the pain. Her breath caught in her throat and she kept it there, knowing that breathing would only make it worse. She made a beeline for the hatchlings near the fire, stumbling, shaking. Maddox was coughing, but her ears were losing their ability to function. Her claws touched a stiff wing, and then she was on the ground, eyes filled with black.

She could see the darkness shifting, bone-like, rotted talons passing over the grass. It died, shriveled up like hay on fire in seconds. A low, growling voice said something- to her? To Maddox?

And then she heard nothing at all.

She woke up on a table, and felt nothing at all. A strange skydancer that stank of mana moved around her, his cold, fuchsia eyes passing over her clinically. Next to him, a mangled, mechanical pearlcatcher tinkered with something on the same table as her- on her?

"She's awake." Said the skydancer, and the pearlcatcher's mismatched eyes fixated on her.

"So it would seem. Don't worry, dear, I will make you perfect." For some reason, she couldn't decide whether or not that was a good thing, or what it meant? How would he make her perfect?

Aren't I good enough as I am?

Of course not. But you will be.

About
When Vex finally was allowed to leave the lab, she knew she wasn't all she used to be. Pieces were missing- and when she was reunited with Maddox, she knew she looked like him. Maybe worse. By his reaction, probably worse, but he never abandoned her. If anything, their bond only grew after such hardship, so at least something good came of their misfortune.

Trivia

More heavily modified than her mate, she has several mechanical additions to her mutated bone armor. She got hit more heavily during Reaper's initial attack on their old clan, thus her worse physical state. The necrosis ate at her more than Maddox.
Vex can tank more damage thanks to her modified armor, and will often keep the focus of their target while Maddox strikes from a distance, unseen and unheard. Even if you can't see Maddox, it is unlikely he's far from her.
Hates partaking in the Pit- only attends to guard Reaper's den while he's busy watching the events.
