Uh-oh, looks like this flighty dragon wandered a little too far from his home lair (61556, MerlinEmrys), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the Dragons Off To See The World thread, or to the home lair or the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. A lot of people have worked hard on this dragon and it would be a shame to lose that!

Asiri would love new lore, luggage, genes, colours, eyes, hatchlings, or anything else you feel like gifting to him!

Asiri

Something happened to me. I don't know what's changed. I don't understand. I've been searching for answers for so long, I can't remember what the answers are for. Can I even still be helped, or am I already too far gone? I think something strange is happening to me. Like I've forgotten something, and it's hiding in the empty spaces inside my head. Maybe I just need to look closer at everything I do remember. I wonder if my children hold the key... Or am I simply cursed to wonder forever?

If I travel for long enough, perhaps someone might help me figure out what it all means.

Arriving in clan Duneberry, Asiri was welcomed by the nature-dwelling dragons. He took questions lightly, leaving the onlookers curious about his whereabouts. Perhaps once he gets settled in they will learn more?

The dragons of clan Duneberry took an interest in Asiri's strange and unique dialect. He was very laid back and "chill" as the dragons often described. It also turned out he was great with an instrument, a rare skill among the clan. What a curious dragon he was indeed... perhaps they could convince him to stay a little longer?

Alas, there came a day when Asiri deemed it time to move on to new lands. He assured the clan that he enjoyed his time here, and that it was a tranquil and relaxing experience. Truly a breath of fresh air. With a parting gift of some musical knowledge to the clan, he took off towards the sunrise.

The winds took Asiri to the Starfall Isles, where he settled with Clan Monsoon. He had caught the clan in a frenzy of unpacking and organization, as well as frequent trips to the archives. They were on a quest for knowledge, and Asiri was more than willing to help out.

While helping in the Archives Asiri learned of an untold prophecy. He looked towards the Monsoon clan for guidance but they were stumped. He decided to take what he had learned to a bustling town known for the intelligent artisans and philosophers. He took room and board at the Tipsy Traveler Inn for a while but no one was able to help. The local librarian pointed him in a new direction. There was a clan who may have seen this before.

Following the directions provided by the librarian, Asiri travelled across the familiar terrain of the Shrieking Wilds he once knew, deeper into the Viridian Labyrinth, until he came across an odd amalgamation of mismatched dragons in the Worldedge Wetlands. Here he met a cheerful pair of young Obelisk dragons named Cobweb and Moth, who introduced him to the group known as Clan Tisane, affectionately nicknamed the Teapot Clan. Asiri felt a peculiar attraction to this group already, he felt he was going to like it here.

After many moons with Clan Tisane, Asiri was taken with affection by a striking lady Bogsneak by the name of Latonya. He had mated before but this time felt different, somehow. Perhaps this time he might return to the offspring he would soon leave behind.

But the winds of fate blew harshly at his heels, he knew he would soon have to leave this clan for a time, to find answers to the prophecy he came here to seek. Until his young were hatched, however, he would stay a little longer. Surely there were clues within this herd somewhere...

Asiri stayed long enough to watch his hatchlings grow, but Latonya had whispered to him of a distant clan who might know more of the prophecy. She recalled something about a scroll, lost to the ages, which could summon the spirits of the unspoken. She gave him directions and some provisions for the journey and bid him farewell as he continued on his quest with newfound determination. He swore to return to her some day.

Travelling through the Gladeveins, Asiri met Kanza, an exploring spiral dragon who brought him back to her clan. The hatchlings in particular were fascinated by his quest, thinking it most exciting. Clan Asteridae invited him to rest with them for a time, and promised to keep an ear out for any information that might help him on his journey.

By now, word had spread around the clan of their visitor and his mission. Marnie, the clan's chief combatant, offered to teach him some self defence to aid him on his journey. Though he'd never been so inclined before, Asiri agreed that it would be wise to have the ability to defend himself should he happen to run into danger on his quest, so he joined the clan's fighters in a training session or two.

Asiri discovered he did not much like combat, but was grateful for his new skills. He befriended Merneptah, who arrived at Clan Asteridae soon after he did, and intended to stay. Merneptah, from Flotsam Town, had heard of the scroll Latonya had told him about, though only in the faintest rumours. They agreed that Asiri was on the right track, or as close as he could be given the scant information available, and Asiri prepared for travel once more.

Continuing his journey, Asiri found himself along the Viridian Labirynth's outskirts, where a fledgling clan of all backgrounds was making camp on a journey of their own. He discovered that they were a clan always led by a Scribe, and he requested an audience with said leader through the clan's Speaker, a fellow Skydancer by the name of Stolas.

Asiri didn't expect the clan's leader and scribe to be a Mirror. Bramble was accommodating in his quest, and he learned that the clan's scrolls were in a bit of disarray after their previous scribe had passed away suddenly. He offered his assistance in reorganizing the scrolls, and Bramble was thankful for the help. She allowed him access to any of the clan's scrolls, and he spent a few days pouring over them.

He didn't find what he was looking for, but he did find something interesting. Perhaps a lead or perhaps just something to check out. Bramble allowed him to make a copy of the scroll and he made his preparations to set off again, but he agreed to help out for a while longer before departing.

when Asiri crash landed into the terrible pit he definitely did not find anything related to THE PROPHECY. however he did get a little better at fighting people and animals. He even learned some cool new tricks!

Asiri found himself with many leads but nothing concrete. He decided to return to a place he once called home, hoping to find some respite while he sorted through the clues he had found. He was cheered to see his hatchlings had grown strong and healthy in his absence. He greeted friends, old and new, and learned many travellers had seen these parts while he was away, leaving new knowledge with the clan before they departed. He threw himself into his research. The crumbs of prophecy never quite fitting together... until he realised that he himself was the missing piece...

After months of pouring over books and journals, listening to retellings of stories told by passing travellers, Asiri thought he had finally found a lead! Something had happened to him since his journey began, between the day he left on his travels and his second visit to Clan Tisane. He didn't know how many times it had happened, or what 'it' truly was. But now, at least, he finally had a direction. Hurriedly, he said his goodbyes and packed his things. It was time to travel anew, and perhaps finally find the answers he craved.
