Cold in hand but never in heart...

Living in an igloo in the shelter of a small tundra wood dwells an eccentric fae. The locals don't know the elderly dragon's true name of Olorin, so they just call him the 'Winter Wizard', which he doesn't mind at all considering he often forgets his own name anyway. Wearing a battered hat rimmed with icicles and patched robes of white and blue, the little fae is a good-natured fellow who uses his powers to assist and entertain his neighbours.

Fond of performing for younglings, Winter Wizard's favourite trick is to conjure great frosty fireworks in all sorts of wonderful shapes that soar and sparkle like living stars, before bursting into glittering frozen embers and showering the delighted crowd with powdered snow. Olorin's fireworks are also the main event of the Fae Wizarding Order's annual Yule Ball, with his fellow members praising the wizard's skill and grace with ice magic, and earning him the title of Representative of Ice.

Olorin's kindness is rewarded by his acquaintances, who often bring gifts of food, trinkets and materials to save his aching bones from foraging. If he has to leave on Order business, his presence is greatly missed, and the fae remains a welcome and respected part of the colony.
