ii.He was never fond of snakes--watching them slither made his skin crawl. Uncanny, considering how Leadbleddens' were often associated (and even practiced) with serpents... Dispater understood that others viewed him differently because of his distaste for said reptile--sometimes he wonders why, and cannot help but consider if their judgement blossomed from something deeper. Perhaps he couldn't find it within himself to appreciate most animals, truthfully. They weren't exciting--not sentient enough to be exciting... In the corner of his vision, he sights a Terrible Shadow. A frown creases upon his lips and the Leadbledden does not even try to hide his disdain for the other. The Black Dog has approached him by now amongst the towering stalks of bamboo, effortlessly slithering past each 'tree' sleekfully with the grace of a panther. It was memorising, in a way, so Dispater made a conscious effort to avert most of his gaze from his 'competitor's' eyes. "Do pray tell why you have invited yourself to this affair...?" the Leadbledden pointedly drawls, snide tone light and bordering on the verge of playful as he cautiously inspects his newfound company. However, this Terrible Shadow was different. Thinner, duller, and certainly not as bright as what he assumed was their True counterpart. But they still radiated power.
