She always kept her pearl close. It contained dark and dreadful things, memories she could no longer bear that she'd removed and hid inside. Her mind couldn't forget though, and while the memories themselves were gone, a dark and heavy place remained. She knew she had to guard the pearl with her life, lest the memories be discovered by another.

She'd formed a band with two other rough and wild females, they were closer than sisters. She'd die for these dragons, just as they would for her. They were a bonded trio, scavengers, pillagers, thieves. For now they had settled down in a clan where one had taken a semi-mate, but she knew these girls would have her back, just as she had theirs. She led the group, but it wasn't so much leading, as their intelligence and drive kept them all going together. It was as if they shared one mind, each one first and foremost protecting the others. They all had secrets to hide, and, deities willing, would succeed in taking them to their graves.
