____She liked working with her hands, it took her mind off the things she wanted to forget. She knew she could never forget completely, but the further down she could push the dark memories, the more peacefully she figured she could live. She and her sisters, two others with whom she formed a bonded trio, had taken up residence recently in a small, quiet clan. It was nice to settle down for a bit, she'd even taken a mate (in a sense) with whom she'd had a few clutches. Her sisters were her top priority though, she'd protect them with her life in a heartbeat, and they would do the same for her. The mate and offspring meant nothing compared to them. They all had a dark past that they fought to hide from the world, and, if the fates would have it, the secrets would die along with them.
