The Chthonic Conclave, of the Sedimentary Court

The Earth beneath Dragonhome is a maze of caverns. They burrow beneath the Shattered Plains, trespass among the tombs of Cairnstone Rest, delve into the secrets of Greatwyrm's Breach, and open on the sacred foundations of the Pillar of the World. In this labyrinth, you may chance upon the restless dead, funereal priests, mediums, messengers, and mediators. Don't be alarmed. You have stumbled on the home of the Chthonic Conclave.

Members of the Chthonic Conclave value the recovery of lost treasures - not just as something to hoard, but as as something to be reworked and repurposed in younger generations. As such, they belong to the Sedimentary Court. The clan coalesced around the leadership of a Guardian named Hadean, who claims to be a relic of the First Age, a witness and a survivor of the wars of the gods. Challenge that claim at your peril: he is the clan's premier battle trainer, with a formidable number of exalted dragons in his debt.

New visitors may be disturbed to find the reanimated dead welcomed among the clan's members. Even some of the living appear to be haunted. The clan boasts explorers, burrowers, and researchers of all descriptions, but the Chthonic Conclave holds that the most valuable lost treasure one can unearth is a soul. The most prominent faction within the Conclave is therefore comprised of those dragons who are reanimated dead, or who specialize in dealing with the dead.

The Chthonic Conclave holds the education of new dragons and new clans to be a joyous duty. Earth flight members looking for a mentor, or wanting to become a mentor, can contact the registrar here. The clan is eager to maintain diplomatic ties across Sornieth; visitors and travelers of all descriptions are welcome, so long as they come with good will. Just... don't be surprised if you are cornered by an overly enthusiastic scholar, eager to add the treasures of your own knowledge to the legacy of the Chthonic Conclave. Welcome.
