KIERIN
SHOPKEEPER

As the only children of the clan's founders, Kierin and his older sister had big shoes to fill. At first, there was only their small family of four. But as the clan expanded and the siblings matured, the two soon opened up a store to handle their increasing economy.

Of course, it's difficult for two tiny faes to run a store all on their own. They're both grateful for any help that comes through, whether it be Jasper with boxes of handmade goods or their father checking in. Although their father's visits have grown more and more infrequent, Kierin and Saphyn appreciate that there is effort from at least one of their parents.

Kierin tries not to feel bitter towards his mother, mainly for his sister's sake rather than his own. As the clan grows, his parents grow busier. Kierin knows this. He knows that his father loves his children dearly and dreams of spending more time with them. But instead he trains a division of archers to protect his clanmates- and that's okay, Kierin reasons, for Father still contacts them on his breaks and it's fine.

But his mother?

Kierin doesn't remember the last time his mother visited the store. Yes, Kierin is angry. But Saphyn still has hope, if not desperation- and more than anything Kierin is protective. And so he stocks the shelves, and tells his dear sister that Mother still loves them.
