Though born during the Flameforger's Festival, Mon seems to be the only one of his siblings born without a fiery passion; instead, he was born with strange, compounded eyes. These seem to have altered his behavior: he delights in eating plankton, and will often be seen befriending local crustaceans.

Although originally from Gladekeeper's domain, Mon cares deeply about the water flight's deity. The disappearance of the Tidelord brought him many nights of distress and worry, and he could often be seen leaving offerings of food outside the Spiral Keep. When shiny baubles and delicious treats failed, Mon started sending messages in bubbles hoping that this water tradition would reach the Deity of a Thousand Currents' finned ears.
