BIOGRAPHY
Aphrodisia didn't know what she wanted to be when she grew up. Her siblings were brave...or, perhaps, reckless. They wanted to serve the mighty Windsinger. But Aphrodisia knew that was not her destiny. Her parents put her on the first transport out and suggested she try dancing. After all, it had been their passion, and how they had found each other. But Aphi was clumsy and uncoordinated, not lithe and graceful like her mother, or powerful and moving like her father. But what was she to do? She could not return home to her family, unless it was to serve the gods! When she came upon the brewery, it was like the gods themselves had given her everything she wanted. Before her stood a gorgeous Pearlcatcher with a soothing voice and a boisterous laugh. Here, in this pub, travelers told stories. Aphi heard many in the span of an hour! And the drinks were quite good. She was glad to be off the rickety merchant cart, as she had felt quite ill riding the rails. Adventure did not agree with her, despite her birth Flight! But what did appeal to her was the Pearlcatcher. When she approached the dragon, she was at first unsure of their gender. They bore the typical two horns of masculine Pearlcatchers, but they smelled like a female dragon. Upon politely asking, she learned they were a female dragon, and her name was Eirene. Aphi fell in love on the spot. And, it seemed, so did Eirene. The Pearlcatcher asked Aphi to stay, and eventually, they were wed. Aphi makes excellent smoothies, though she can be absent-minded, and forget her recipes, so she rarely makes the same thing twice! But her natural knack for flavors makes up for the random ingredients in her drinks. She tries not to imbibe too much of her wife's alcohol, or she will become more clumsy than she already is, but if Eirene asks nicely, she will sip here and there. |

Personality Aphi is a kind and gentle dragon, much like her wife, Eirene. She has an ear for good stories, and loves to listen to the travelers as she serves them, asking excited questions about the amazing things that they've seen. Many will scoff at a Wind dragon making a home somewhere, but Aphi is deaf to their negativity. (Though, honestly, that may be because they're using big words.) Though not stupid or simpleminded, Aphi is not the smartest dragon...but she knows Eirene loves her, anyway, and that's good enough for her. |
