Notori had heard whispered tales of a Guardian who did not feel compelled to work with the coils and wires of her birth flight, just as he did not. The stories rumored she had ventured from Lightning to the boiling realm of fire which called to him as well. Members of the Lightning flight were just baffled that anyone would want to leave the Great Expanse for that wasteland. Obsidian is a beautiful stone. The ores found in the Ashfall Waste are beautiful, as well as valuable. What isn’t there for a rogue to love.
Notori set out to journey to Ashfall Waste late in adolescence. He doesn’t remember his parents, who very soon after his hatching parted ways. His father went to serve the Arcanist and his mother, the Ice Warden. Because the family wasn’t very close, he’s never felt a connection to any of his siblings. Notori’s decision to leave the Great Expanse wasn’t difficult because he had never felt as though he was meant to be a hard worker answering to others. Of course, it helped that he was a scamp who had been in trouble since adolescence for collecting pretty and expensive things by whatever means. He always loved a good bargain. Free in the middle of the night or when someone’s back was turned was a discount too, right? Because of his ne'er-do-well ways, Notori never really developed any close friendships. He stumbled across Dravite while in another clan’s lair finding treasures to obtain at a deal. Normally Imperials don’t get on with Pearlcatchers, but the two bonded over their roguish ways and became fast friends. Now the cronies take part in all their capers together. Notori doesn’t even mind having to share his steals with Dravite. Notori and Dravite had snuck into the Smoldering Sagittaria clan lands to find treasures. Suddenly they heard a loud voice asking them what they thought they were doing. Spinning around, Notori looked upon a large rust and jade colored Guardian. Could it be? Had he actually discovered the dragon that was discussed in whispers in his birth flight? With voice wavering, Notori asked, “Are you SunsetMoon?” SunsetMoon gasped before answering, “I am, how do you know of me?” Notori said with admiration, “I had heard tales of a Lightning-born dragon who felt the call of the flames and had wondered if it was true. I am glad it is.” Dravite and he handed back all their misgotten treasures, asking for forgiveness. SunsetMoon was suspicious of them at first, but after consulting with Cylas and Ayda, allowed them to stay within the Clan. Notori and Dravite have become valuable members of the Clan, as they bring back needed supplies from their escapades. Along the way, Notori had acquired a flute and learned to play to while away the time. He’d become quite good and often entertains the members of Smoldering Sagittaria with his playing. His favorite treasure he has swiped is a ruby ring with which he can’t imagine he will ever part. Why would he when it so perfectly complements his favorite apparel. Notori often sneaks away from everyone else to go to the shoreline of the Ashfall Waste. There’s a school of firebelly sharks he has taken to considering his pets. He will go watch them for hours when he feels his anger has risen to levels that are dangerous for everyone around him.
