Biography
JIRO
If the soul compels the body to breathe, What compels it to rot?
If the soul compels the body to breathe, What compels it to rot?
At the foot of a magical green mountain lies a beautiful garden, one that overflows with blooms of a precious nature, with herbs of rare origin. Ivies tangle the hewn stone walls, and the sun's kiss makes the wonderful garden grow. It is a place of enchantment, stunning in every way, and few dragons can resist its pull. Why not partake of the fruits and the shade? Why not indeed?
But Jiro watches all the while. It is their garden, this glorious place, and they do not take kindly to intruders. Oh, those who ask permission to enter the grounds are welcome, as are their clanmates, but those who assume the garden is a wild place, free to roam, are not friends of Jiro's.
Some flee. They recognize the danger before it's too late, feel the vines tightening around their ankles, preparing to drag them deep into the earth. They get the sense that the flowers are closing in, making them drowsy for the last time. They escape.
But the rest? Well, the garden is beautiful and grows so vibrantly, and the highest tree is crowned with blood roses and twined with thorny vines, vines that hunger, vines that drink.
The bones lie somewhere beneath the garden's roots. Jiro cares not where they ultimately go.
Bio by Tues.
Shortly after Sweetcoin arrived, their clanmates noticed a lovely garden spring forth at the foot of the mountains surrounding the valley of the Windswept Crossing. Soon after, Sweetcoin brought Jiro into the valley themself, claiming that they were mates and asking for their acceptance into the clan. The dragons of the clan gave each other cautious looks - unsure of what to make of this mysterious new dragon. After a moment, Cali made her way forward, looking Jiro over curiously.
"What is your intent here?" She asked them.
Jiro looked at Sweetcoin, a look of adoration, before turning back to Cali and answering in a surprisingly gruff, crackling voice. "My only purpose is to follow my mate wherever they may go. If you'd like, however, I could also be of use as a scholar of magic. I come from a renown family of witches, and my blood is that of the ancient practices."
Cali tilted her head, "We have many such practitioners here, and are always welcoming more, but can you swear your garden will cause no harm to my clan? We have heard many strange tales of it."
"Yes my lady, I can. My garden is irrevocably a part of me, but I can control it." They knelt before Cali, who looked a little embarrassed. "If it means my love and I may be together, I will ensure my magicks and my garden bring only peace and good things for the clan."
And with that, they were welcomed as a dragon of the Windswept Crossing. Sweetcoin visits the garden daily, and the valley now has a ring of vines around the edges, with knife sharp and sentient thorns to keep out those who are unwelcome.
