About A scholar of sorts, Arcaniss is never far from a book. It's natural to see him walking around with a stack. Any book will do, though he secretly keeps a stack of cheesy romance books under his bed. He can remember every book he has ever read and loves to discuss what he's learned from it. He found a deep love of baking from reading books about it and can be rather good at it, using it as a secondary way to relax. When he smiles it's always sweet and it makes him nervous, often making him want to pull his highnoon hank up around his face to hide his blush. He never knows how to act around girls, often nervously stumbling over his words when he tries to interact with them. This is part of the reason he adores romance books so much, he's a hopeless romantic. He seems alright around Shia though, and that seems to be working out for him. Arcaniss loves all things arcane and enjoys magic, often wanting to study every form of magic. He has a solid grasp on how it all works and is rather powerful with it himself. Though, there is indeed a darker reason for this. On the records kept about him it is claimed his parents were Mandos and Vaire. In truth, Arcaniss was fathered by a dragon who wanted nothing more than to overthrow all other lairs and turn the world on its head. Often known as Falzure, the dragon wanted to bring the dead back to fight at first though this proved as an ineffective way to do the amount of damage he wanted. He decided he needed leaders who could lead the never ending horde of the dead, and they needed to be those he could trust the most, his own bloodline. He started to trick females, pretending to be a kind dragon when he wished nothing but harm. His first son, Arcath, was exactly what he wanted and he had killed off Arcath's mother early on raising him from a hatchling to think the way he wanted. Arcaniss was different though. Arcaniss' mother found out what was planned and ran off with him before Falzure could do anything. She raised Arcaniss at first, teaching him to read and what was right and wrong. Eventually Falzure caught up with them and Arcaniss lost his mother in that moment. He was taken to meet his half-brother who greeted him with grin at first. Arcaniss defied his father's teachers, believing his mother to be right. As a result he was attacked, scars were left across his body. The worst is hidden under the scarf he is always seen wearing. Arcaniss eventually escaped, at first staying away from dragon society, living on the edges. He got books when he could. He regrets the fact that for the time spent he had to steal a lot of what he needed. Eventually strangers started to help. This eventually led to him meeting Shia and going to The Silver Wolf Tavern where he was welcomed with open arms. He told them of his path, told them of his deranged half-brother. Falzure tried to attack The Silver Wolf Tavern once but was overwhelmed by the fighters who refused to back down. Falzure was killed in the fight and Arcath was captured. During the fight Arcath had injured and done a lot of damage, leaving some on death's door if not outright dead. Despite this, Arcaniss pleaded with them to try and help Arcath. Arcaniss has hopes that one day his brother will come to his senses and see that the world deosn't need to be destroyed. Arcath hates him, and while Arcaniss isn't completely fond of Arcath either, he still has to hold out that maybe one day things will be better.
