Once a mere mortal dragon who resided upon the foot of the Earth, this Guardian ascended the Mountain of its own volition - driven by naught much else than sheer curiosity. Drawn to the simple things that make life tick, Taric continued through the ordeal of its ascension (which nearly claimed it multiple times) in the hopes that it would find something truly breathtaking. What it found was far, far more than it could have ever wished for; an entire valley within the mountain, populated with dragons who were shunned from their colonies, unfit to be exiled, or simply runaways seeking meaning and purpose. Impressed by his motive, the Grand Deities of the Mountain took Taric into their ranks, promoting him to the ranks of the Mountain's Guardian of Peace and Safety. It spends much of its time communing with the dragons of the Mountain, forging tight bonds between itself and them.
