Among the frigid members of the Wild Hunt, Herodias was like a princess in wolf's clothing. Or maybe that should be taken a bit more literally, as she received her winter wolf pelt as a gift from her parents after her first successful hunt as the leader. She learned archery from her father, trapping from her mother, and how to survive deadly winters from the both of them as they tried to keep her safe; but didn't hold her hand through the difficulties she needed to face on her own. Given her personality, appearance and skills it is definitely confusing to know that her eyes reflect a kind light green color. Perhaps such a thing is a sign that she is not as cold as she seems on the surface, but a stranger would be wrong to assume she could offer that kindness to them. In truth only one dragon aside from her parents has earned her trust so far; when word reached her of a court full of hunters she was immediately willing to act as a representative of the Wild Hunt. She had always wanted to see what other hunters outside of her home were actually like, and on her way to see her new home she came across a half-brother she'd never known. Herodias was not the only hatchling of her nest but was the only one who survived the circumstances, she'd never even heard of her father's previous mate until meeting this unknown brother, suddenly on the road to the Scarred Wasteland. But having lived as an only child that had always wished for a companion to play with, she asked if Manor would want to speak with her despite their differences. He agreed and visits the castle occasionally to read aloud to her, and rant about his most difficult clanmates. She would dare say her own are just as troublesome, she finds the court's drama to be tiring and is more satisfied to watch arrows fly than deal with their nobility scandals. |
