In the prophecy foretold by the seer Muerto, he saw the beginning of a great darkness, a rise of undead in Sornieth that would lead to decimation and ruin for many dragon lairs. However, he received an omen of how to prevent this disaster and save the lives of countless dragons. So with the aid of his clan, the seer gathered four dragons that appeared in his visions.

The four agreed to ritual laid out by Muerto, and by giving up a part of their life force to become a step closer to death, they became partially spiritual. This would make them better equipped to study and destroy any undead they would come across. The ritual permanently altered the appearance and physical being of themselves and their descendants, maps of their skeletons rising to the surface of their bodies. Now, calling themselves Ghostlights, these dragons travel across the land, hoping to join any clan to protect and ensure the safety of all Sornieth's living creatures.
