A witchy baby, she has learned that her experiments should be met with caution: so she constantly wears those goggles... just in case. Lanatus is her name, and learning what all elements do when mixed together is her game. Although she loves Clan Accius, she also loves to travel, so if you see her stop by, say hi, maybe see if she needs supplies!

"So, you're interested in studying elemental magic? I know exactly the dragon." King smiled and lead the Tundra to the Clan of the Singularity. "Amethyst!" He shouted. A black Imperial with faintly glowing runes decorating his hide appeared from another room. "Yes?" "I'd like to introduce you to Lanatus here, I think she'd be interested in your research" The Imperial smiled "The name's Amethyst, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Over the next week, the two dragons spent most of their waking hours together, with Amethyst teaching Lanatus how to (safely) experiment with magic, and Lanatus offering an enthusiastic new perspective on Amethyst's old work.

Someone clearing their throat snapped Lanatus out of the book she was reading.

"What are you doing here? You're trespassing on sacred grounds of the Arcanist." An old, war torn Guardian growled at her.

"Oh, well you see, I'm a traveler! I was invited to your clan by Crowley!" She said happily.

New travels brought her spirits up, as well as gifts that she received when leaving the visited clan. In fact, the book she had been reading was a gift from King and Amethyst.

"Stand aside Legion, she's welcome." A familiar face walked up to the Tundra.

Crowley. The Guardian had been interested in helping Lanatus with her search for knowledge on magic. What better place could that be than in another Arcane clan, where they specialized in magic and knowledge?

"Sorry for the rude introduction." Crowley stated as he glared at Legion, "Legion is quite protective."

He switches the subject after stating that.

"You'll be staying with our resident mage, Azaela, this week, here, let me show you around."

Walking around camp he pointed different spots out that she may need to know. As they moved along they stopped in front of a shack with curtains acting as doors. Crowley opened them and ushered Lanatus inside.

"Welcome to my shop!" An enthusiastic Skydancer said, "I'll be with you in a moment, actually what can I help you- Oh! You must be who Crowley was talking about!"

Azaela bounded over to her, and took her paw to shake it.

"Nice to meet you! Guess you'll be staying with me for the rest of the week huh?" She said excitedly, "Don't worry about any of your things right now, just make yourself at home, and we'll begin shortly!"

They spent the week reading and practicing magic, accompanied by Azaela's ramblings of experiments that could do together.

As sad as they were, the clan knew Lanatus had to leave eventually. They wished her luck in continuing her quest to learn everything about magic.

"Are you lost?" a small coatl asked, giving Lanatus a weird look from their high perch above the door.

The tundra shook her head.

"Well, why are you here?" the coatl asked, leaning forwards jerkily.

"I heard that there was a great magician here. I'd like to learn."

"We don't do magic here," the coatl says dismissively, "but I can, maybe, introduce you to the scientist."

Lanatus agreed, and the coatl vanished inside. They came out leading a spiral behind them carefully. "Kore, this is... uh, what's your name?"

"Lanatus," Lanatus offers.

"This is Lanatus. She wants to learn magic."

"Uh," Kore says, seeming a little confused, "you told her that I'm a necrobiologist and don't actually...do magic?"

"It's kind of like alchemy, isn't it?" the coatl says.

"Well, yes, but... ah, it's cold out. Both of you come inside, we can talk this out in the hearth."

In order to go through the lair to the hearth, Lanatus learned, following the spiral and coatl inside, one had to pass through some kind of research-oriented space. There were lots of complicated-looking bits of machinery, some uncomfortably organic looking body parts, and a frankly awful smell that was not well masked by some kind of minty flavored perfume. There were several skulls on one wall, just hanging, and what looked like a patchwork Frankenstein of a dragon lying on a table missing about a third of its chest and side. Gruesome, yet fascinating. Lanatus was a bit glad when they'd made it out of that room and into a comfortable, yet dim, seating area around a roaring fire.

"So," Kore said, sitting down comfortably and tying nemself into a knot, "you're a magician, correct? What do you specialize in?"

"Uh, everything."

The coatl made a suspicious noise that sounded an awful lot like a scoff.

"Everything?"

"Everything I can learn about magic, I'm coming to learn."

"Well," Kore said, resting nir head on the back of nir chair, "I don't do magic, but if you'd like to take a sidestep into the biological sciences, I can let you shadow our experiments for the time being."

"What are your experiments? I never really heard what it is you do here."

"Ah," the spiral perks up. "We're examining the underlying causes and conditions relating to the creation of Emperor Imperials, and, in regards to those, whether they can be reproduced in other draconic species. So far the answer has been a resounding yes, but there are still various factors that need to be examined and either considered or tossed out regarding the organic formation of a natural Emperor such as the ones in the stories."

"...you make Emperors? Is that what I'm hearing?"

"Not... exactly; something about organically formed Emperors makes them highly unstable and dangerous. My creations," Kore rubs the head of his coatl fondly, "tend to be much more like you or I than like an unrelenting killing machine, aside from certain...shall we say, episodes. Perhaps the reports of emperors are incorrect; perhaps I just haven't stumbled upon the normal formulae for creating one, or maybe both. Regardless, it's an interesting field of research, even if it consigns me to living out here."

"...right," Lanatus agreed. Well, she could always back out later. "I'd like to observe your work for some time."

"Alright," Kore agreed. "Rotwing here will show you to a room you can sleep in; and maybe I can learn something from you, as well."
