HISTORY
CONTENT WARNINGS: possession, dissociation/loss of time, attempted assassination, cults, dragon sacrifice (exaltation, no actual killing), and self-injury (not really, but close enough to need a warning)

Horizon joined Hagebyen in its early days, when they were settling into Light territory. She made friends in the clan quickly and started courting Seafoam. They later married, and had their first and only child, Twilight. As a family, the three of them were well-liked and popular. Seafoam was a guard and escort for visitors and travellers, and Horizon and Twilight worked with the healers and trade dragons.

One day, on a gathering trip, Horizon encountered a strange dragon. A black and cherry-red skydancer, draped in dark purple thorns and cloth. They seemed barely there, flitting in and out of Horizon’s awareness as if they were disappearing entirely. Naturally friendly, Horizon tried to talk to the dragon. The attempt at conversation made her dizzy and confused, and when she became aware of her surroundings again, she only had a vague impression of meeting someone and the image of unusual purple eyes in her mind. She came home with her gathered food and a mysterious ghost story for her daughter.
