Twilight is the first and only child of Horizon and Seafoam, the leaders of a cult on the outskirts of Hagebyen. She eventually realized the situation she was in after a mass exaltation of members, and fled to Hageyen with her son, Mettet. They were taken in by a gaoler clan who was amazed by Mettet (they thought he was a strange baby). When the Gaoler clan was convinced to join Hagebyen, Twilight's family came along with them (albeit nervously). Latterlig was cautiously welcoming after they explained themselves, and they were members of Hagebyen again.

While Seafoam was rebuilding her old friendships and gaining the Clan's trust to become a guard again, Twilight threw herself back into her magic. She never had time for her studies under Horizon's community-focused leadership, and had gotten rusty in her abilities. She found herself in Rythka's shop more often than not, and the diviner became somewhat of a parental figure. When Seafoam and Rythka eventually got married, the change from "loving mentor" to "legal parent" was entirely natural.

Long after rejoining Hagebyen, Twilight fell in love with Isihogo, a spunky guard on the coliseum team. Isihogo remembers when Horizon's cult lived in Hagebyen, and was nervous around Twilight at first, but the two of them bonded unexpectedly and have become inseparable since. They take care of new hatchlings together instead of having their own.
