______ Ghost was born into the clan he currently resides. When he was born, he was extraordinarily weak. Most hatchlings were weak, they were just born, but Ghost was even more so. Ghost grew up very sheltered because of this. His nature was very docile and easily scared. He often believed other dragons wholeheartedly, not knowing why anyone would lie to him. As he got older, he still had this attitude but tried to keep it to himself. Ghost saw other dragons his age be much more independent his age so it became a great shame to him that he couldn’t be like the others.

Ghost fought back against his insecurities by pushing himself past his limits. It was self destructive behavior and many in the clan liked his more active nature. This only pushed him to keep doing it when one day he couldn’t move because he was so fatigued and fragile. He decided from that point on that if he couldn’t be useful physically that he would be useful intellectually. There were many dragons in the clan and in surrounding clans that had dragons that were skilled in medical knowledge. He became an apprentice of one of them, one of the harsher dragons in the field. It was hard to get over how harsh his new master could be, but Ghost persevered. Dedication to the craft is what kept him going. He found it strange that he didn’t have an aversion to blood or broken bones, but he figured that it most likely was because of how many injuries he had gotten as a child because of his condition.

The road to becoming a medical dragon was a long one, but the day that Ghost finished his apprenticeship he had a plan set in motion to open up a medical supply and practice store. It was something his clan sorely needed and this was his chance to become useful. The minute he opened his store it was bombarded with dragons from all over, not just from his clan. The store he owned was the closest to any medical store or care center for many miles so it was immediately popular.

He gained lots of prestige and lots of money because of his store. Ghost was well liked and respected, so much so that the leaders of his clan called on him to come with them along with one of their guards to inspect and confront a, what looked to be, injured dragon wandering around close to their clan. Ghost had a lot of anxiety about confronting a stranger, one that the leaders decided needed to be confronted. Whatever anxieties he had though, he pushed them aside. To decline a request from the clan leaders was like a crime in the eyes of many dragons even though it wasn’t an official crime. He didn’t want to tarnish his name and he felt that this would be a chance to further prove himself useful.

The leaders of his clan, the guard, and himself all left the next day to confront her. He was practically shaking when they had finally caught up to her. She was a female skydancer covered in blood. In his medical opinion, she looked she hadn’t eaten or drank anything in days. This worried him and this worry pushed past any amount of fear he had about what she would do. He immediately ran to her when she fainted, looking down at her with concern. Later on when he was caring for her, he learned that her name was Ruelle. He had become quite smitten with her despite her often blunt and rude way of speaking. Ruelle seemed so calm around him and not around any others which caused a bond to form. They later became mates after Ruelle had healed despite being the complete opposite of each other. It worked out very well.
