______ Chrysocolla. A specialist, under the serein division. She entered the clan after her own had disowned her, in their own way. Specifically the death of her own mentor, caused by her own talons. It was an obvious accident, however one that costed a precious life. The clan had taught her better, and her passion of becoming a mage had been crushed. Her magic and her power were too powerful; it had been clear. So, to contain such power, she was put into a warrior-like division. One for the bottom of the pack, of the scrawny and the weak who were destined to die quickly on the battlefield.

______ However, she persisted against all odds. Moving up through the ranks, even though her greatest and truest desire was to be a famed caster. Soon she was a respected elder warrior, regaining some of her parents pride. She was skilled, there was no denying, a formidable opponent. Due to this fact, she had been a gift. You heard correct. A present, a warrior to a trading capitol that the arcane dragons were scrambling to be on good terms with. She felt dread, from the stories she had been told about plague dragons from when she was a hatchling to the way she knew she'd have to climb up an impossible amount of ranks once more.

______ That did not seem to happen. Firstly, they respected her. They saw her as one of their own, something the arcane clan had never done. Even when she was one of the commanders, one of their defenders against threats, she was never one of them. It was clear when she had been traded off, however when shown the kindness that these dragons offered it was embarrassing how slow Chrysocolla had been to notice. Now, she finds she prefers it in the oasis, defending dragons who she does care about. It shall never be her home, but she can't find it in herself to mind.

______ "Too slow!" The pearlcatcher snarled at the younger of the two, leaping out of the way. Basik gave Chryscolla a reason to dislike the mass amounts of work she did with the younger ones of the unit. From her bite to her fighting capabilities the trainee was no joy to have on the sparring field. Still, it was Chrysocolla's duty to attempt, even if she loathed the moments spent with the smaller.

______ "I can't possibly be going any faster!" Basik protested, going to pursuit Chrysocolla and land a hit on her side. Her talons barely scraping the veterans scales, causing her to hiss and flap her wings backwards. She leapt to pin them down, shoving the adolescents snout into the dirt and earning a cry. She hopped off, guilt pouring into her like a tidalwave. Chrysocolla spoke, "You may take a break. I.. I didn't wish to harm you." The specialist sighed, staring down at the ground while the trainee followed the light command. More so a suggestion of course; if Basik had retorted an insult, not unlike her, the guilt would have fell right through Chrysocolla and buried itself in the ground, and she most likely would have beat the younger around even more.

______ "We have been making progress. You have gotten stronger, and our fights end later rather than sooner. You should be proud of your acomplishments. I'm going to start to take it less easy on you, soon." Chrysocolla spoke, expression absent from her face. The skull adorning her help happened to not help. "You've been taking it easy on me? Oh, I'm not meant for this unit." Basik groaned, her tail lashing at the ground as she pondered her fresh wounds. "You are doing fine, Basik. Grace and Strength are not gained overnight, and you shall learn that if you wish to become one of us." Chrysocolla spoke calmly, her temper beginning to lower. "Alright. I'm ready. Round 2."
