A rogue with no place to call home

Born a nocturne, Romeo spent his early years among a small clan of scavengers - they survived off the scraps the Shattered Plain provided. Romeo learned to cherish everything the land gave him, he mended his own clothes, made his own weapons and helped his clan maintain their shelters among vast stone constructs. He became proficient with bow and arrow, picking enemies off one by one from a distance, if ever cornered, Romeo would depend on his trusty dagger to deliver a finishing blow.

Romeo listened to his elders, they told him the story of the Earthshaker's domain and the Earth dragons that came before him. They told him of the lone eggs, dragons abandoned to the elements - nobody knew Romeo's parents, he was a child of the Earth. Being an orphan made Romeo feel little attachment to his birth clan, which was unlike most earth dragons. Eventually Romeo abandoned his clan, his family and went to travel Sornieth, for what, he did not know...

While exploring the Hewn city, Romeo happened upon an ancient evil - a still living Emperor. The beast attacked him and Romeo would have surely perished if a mage and a warrior hadn't appeared to save him. Romeo teamed up with the strangers and together they defeated the Emperor. That is when he learned the names of his saviors - Razelan, the mage, and Mondo, the warrior. Mondo was an injured former trainee who had deserted the Paladins of Light and was looking for a purpose in life, Razelan, however, was looking for an answer to a question even Romeo couldn't answer - none of his elders had ever spoken of the riddles Razelan presented him with.

Intrigued by the mage and the warrior Romeo joined their party, they became adventurers who took on quests together. Their skills were complimentary to one another and together the three took down many enemies. Once Romeo asked to be turned into a coatl, so he could feel closer to his friends. Razelan fulfilled his request and then, together with Mondo, helped Romeo learn the coatl language. Romeo never quite got it right and there was always a hint of his previous form when he hummed.

Romeo's appearance also didn't fully change - he became a mix of a coatl and a nocturne. At first the change distressed Romeo, everyone who met him knew he was not a coatl by birth and coatl did not take lightly to newcomers, especially those who were half formed. Despite being bright in color, his affinity with earth did not earn him any favors - most coatl came from the fire or felt close to it, and their character showed it. Even Mondo and Razelan had a burning passion for their goals as was characteristic of fire dragons.

Throughout all his trials and tribulations, Mondo was most supportive of Romeo. He told him of his own trials, his failure with the paladins and how the fight with the Emperor brought back his purpose. Romeo felt a bond with Mondo and both dragons revealed their feelings for one another. Their love strengthered their comraderie and made their teamwork perfect, one knowing the other's strenghts and weaknesses and being able to build upon that.
