Driven by vengeance, Velvet inevitably shuts herself from all other emotion, viewing them as nothing more than obstacles that would hold her back in her goal to kill Artorius, whom she once loved and trusted.

His betrayal ultimately spurred a distrust in Velvet that results in her only using people for her own advantage, never forming friendships until Laphicet and the other group members wear down Velvet's cold exterior.

Cursed to bear the arm of a demon, Velvet actually consumes other demons using said arm. She wraps it when she isn't using it. Rather than finding a way to remove the curse, she used it. Embraced it and learned to use it as a weapon against Artorius. She became what is called a Therion, a demon-eating-demon. While maintaining reason, she does hunger, but normal food barely tastes like anything to her. Blood on the other hand, she can taste. 41597885_350.png
