 Vast, all around us, but unexplored... curious.

Gearguts was hatched and raised in a burrow on a seaside colony among other hundreds of other sea-winged dragons, always passionate about the sea. She hated the clutter of the colony, but could never imagine living elsewhere, away from the sea, ever-optimistic about her future.

She was clearly different from the rest, but her easygoing attitude and obliviousness to attempts to spark drama left her relatively clear of trouble her younger life. The real issues came as the years passed and Gearguts stared obsessively to the sea. Every moment the young pirate had free was spent reading of what the vast, empty waves truly held beneath them, both factual and fictional.

discovered a lab where she could share and actually publish her work. She is not a permanent resident, she spends much of her time out at sea, but is a very bright biologist and big part of the clan
