Nettle is silent and soft, always hiding in the shadows of nature or larger dragons. He could count on on two paws how many dragons have seen him and remembered him in his lifetime, and he aims to keep it that way, forever. He is terrified of everyone and anything, and if someone so much as acknowledges him, he'll disappear in a flourish of leaves and dark withered petals, the smell of the pollen strong enough to make any dragon or beastclan look away and cry from the burn and acrid scent, as well as forget he even existed. The number of dragons Nettle is comfortable being near can be counted on one paw, but even still he would never talk to them unless it was a matter of life or death. However there is just one dragon who he communicates with. Just one who he would be willing to face the entirety of the world for, and that would be the dragon who saved the life of him and his precious companions. That dragon was Leviathan.

Nettle suffers from extreme anxiety and paranoia, his companion dog the only one able to keep him calm enough to exist, even saying calm is an overstatement, as he is perpetually afraid. But perhaps one day he'll meet a dragon calm enough for the both of them who'll get to see just how soft and pure Nettle is. They'll be able to understand how deep his care and compassion for others runs, and his amazing ability to empathize with everyone and understand their exact pain and problems with brilliant clarity. If he weren't the way he was, he would make an excellent healer.

Nettle had been hiding alongside an unsuspecting guardian, when he had gotten caught along her finery and apparel as she dove into the water, dragging Nettle down with her, and his companions followed out of loyalty and concern. Nettle was unable to swim or breathe as he was dragged so deep the light no longer could be seen through the salty waters that burned his nose and throat. Through the blur he thought he saw a mighty beast swim from the deep and entangle the mighty guardian before red clouded what little he had been able to make out in the dark. He could tasted the blood of the one who had dragged him down to what he thought was his death as his thoughts began to blur and muddle and his lungs burned. But that sensation of drowning wouldn't be the last thing he felt as he was dragged back to the surface by Leviathan, urged Kotaren not to let the simple fae and his companions drown. It was in this way that Leviathan showed mercy on him and his friends. Now, whenever Leviathan is on land, he is Nettle's shelter of choice.

Nettle used to work in hiding, growing Bladed Flatleaves for the annual Festival, Greenskeeper Gathering. He would tend to them year round before distributing them across Sorneith. He was talented at his work and incredibly knowledgeable about the various stages the plants went through, and how every part could be used. Because of this other jealous workers would constantly belittle him and his work, occasionally stealing from him and making it seem it was his own fault his plants failed. Over time this constant wear lead him to believe it, and so he ran away. Workers were sworn to secrecy and a life of work, never to rejoin society save the valuable plants became just another common item, worthless. Parts of his 'Dragon Repellent' are made of juvenile Bladed Flatleaves. The pollen that causes amnesia comes from it, as well as the withered leaves, the source of the acrid scent. The scent and amnesia pollen are self defense traits of the young plant, allowing it to survive and give it's prized leaves to the dragons who use it as a currency.

While following Leviathan on his travels, Nettle came across many dragons whom he was forced to interact with. One such dragon named his Dog Alden. Another handed him the perfect rose he carries with him.

After the great divide of Sugarsand, Nettle followed Forekai, while Leviathan guided Sugar. The treck to the old warrens of their first home in the Abiding Boneyard was a wretched one, but one worth making. With Forekai at the helm of their expedition, guiding them through his old haunting grounds, and the aid of a Necromancer and his companions, they were able to settle again over the old tunnels. Construction of a mighty outpost began, a building big enough to welcome the biggest of imperials, and the smallest of fae. They lived there in their own world for years, away from Viven and Sugar's bitter fighting. Nettle no longer had the luxury of cowering away from every encounter, and he became a stronger dragon for it. Watching Forekai battle his own demons gave him the strength to combat his own. While still perfering to hide in the upper walkways or his own private room, his bite is no worse than his bark. Nettle is an apt name for a green dragon with a bitter, painful sting.
