B I O G R A P H Y Main Theme: Theme of the dragon, links to a music, insert title here. ______Two days' journey inland of Moonkeep's dark bayou the ground takes a turn for the firmer, and there under the shadowy forest lies an enormous natural cave system. Its entrance was discovered by the Sound back in the days when Amaris was still their fresh-faced patrol captain, and Dag, whose caving skills were honed as a child in the cavern-riddled Viridian Labyrinth, has dedicated herself to mapping this sprawling wonder. Dag is ... many, many things, and not just as many others. She's neither Shadowborn nor a ghost. She's not magically inclined or divinely Marked. She is the easygoing loner type, and exceptionally athletic, and serious as the grave when she thinks nobody's watching: that floating faraway variety one sees in people who are strong, or lonely, or dead. She's covered in dirt, more often than not. Her uncle attributes this to her Nature upbringing, and he says it with more judgement than he's warranted as someone who spends so much time talking to trees. Dag is always happy to call him out on it. Dag doesn't start fights, but she'll finish one for free. Moonkeep is happy to leave the caves to her. More things Dag is: resourceful; thrill-seeking; in possession of both reverence for the natural world and a marrow-deep passion for exploring it. Her quest is not solely personal, either, as with constantly increasing threats from bounty hunters and beast clans, shuttling Runners through the forest becomes more dangerous with each passing moon cycle. The Sound's need for alternative routes through certain stretches of the woods has increased, and considering the span and scope of the cave system, the odds of Dag finding such a thing are about as good as the odds of her disappearing underground one day and never emerging again. Which is to say, pretty darn good. _

- sawed her own wings off to escape a beastclan trap in an underground cavern where she definitely would have died; as one might expect, it Messed Her Up
- took a very long off from caving afterward, and had to ease back into it. will not go underground anymore without her friend Figment the firebug
- once she had healed and adjusted to the disability, she found it actually made her a better caver since she could squeeze through smaller spaces than ever before. really not interested in reliving the experience, though.
- when she's at moonkeep dag's a little ... /vague hand gesture. she enjoys keeping busy and is well-liked for her earnesty and willingness to do anything from paint the hatchery walls to peel potatoes in prosper's kitchens - quite like beth. but dag drifts away sometimes, the way the ghosts do; gets a little empty and a little quiet. stuff like this isn't uncommon, in a place like moonkeep. people leave her to it.
- she's also got a friend/pet cave lantern who waits very eagerly for her at her usual tunnel entrance like a dog. dag's a lowkey disney action princess, but all her animal friends are weird slimy things that live underground + a suspiciously high functioning bug? also she's dirty all the time, and can't hold a tune for love nor money.
- the kind of person who shoves food in her pockets at parties and doesn't even try to be subtle. On that note, Dag's got an incredible metabolism; she eats moonkeep out of house and home when she's there and just seems to be getting smaller. this actively stresses out prosper lol.
- subplot: she's unknowingly ill with something mysterious she picked up underground, which is why she's losing weight uncontrollably? what's wrong with you bby

- does better in some social situations than others. can she make cultured small talk over hors d'eouvres? absolutely not. can she slam imported wasteland moonshine and argue til the break of dawn about conspiracy theories? absolutely she can
