In a lifelong pursuit for lost and forgotten knowledge of obscure magic, Pirya spends her time roaming ancient spaces throughout the Sunbeam Ruins. Occasionally she returns to what she sees as her "home base" in Coterie to spend time with her mate, Raku and child Rimir. They have all come to a routine that works contentedly for each in turn.

On one particular excursion to the outskirts of the Hewn City, Pirya began to be followed by an Armored Duskflapper that fluttered out of the shade. The batling led her to several small artifacts and continued after her as she walked on. Not opposed to some company in such eerie areas, she fed the creature some insects she had carried along and the duskflapper never decided to leave, even upon returning to Coterie.
