"Well," Kintsugi said to himself, "Pagan has a harpy, the Plague Ambassadors have their Corven..."
The tinkerer was feeling lonely, and inspired. He lived alone despite technically having a large family (many of which went on to serve their deities or move far away), and wanted both a companion and a helper for his work. Birds have always appealed to him, more than most dragons perhaps, as he often flew for pleasure more than just utility.
It started as a side project with learning how to time servos with natural flapping and learning the movement of orbiting eyes. Then the pieces and projects began to combine and he started thinking of names.
"I think we'll get along just fine, Bird."
