Her quiet, light hearted self was gone. She never accomplished anything back then, except for managing to get herself manipulated by the same abuser that had sought after her mother. that would never happen again. I am free, She thinks to herself, her own claws piercing her throat. She sees his face in her own daughter. I am free, Tears streamed down her face as she cursed at her daughter. "Get out of here! You aren't welcome here anymore!" She shouted to the quivering grey coatl. "M-Mother..." The smaller female choked out. "Leave now, or I will kill you! I'll kill you myself!" The fearful hatchling took off into the night. Opal regretted what she had done. She spent the next week searching for her daughter only to find Harpies feasting on her remains near the edge of the clan territory. I am free, Hot blood spills from Opals skin. He was later outcasted from the clan, sent to fend mostly for himself, named "The Offender". Opal lay in a sticky, red mess spewing from a wound she tore into herself. I am so sorry, She sobbed to her mother, while the clan medic stitched the gash. Life is short.

Like her mother, Estella, Opal's personality changed drastically while growing up.
As a hatchling she was always quiet, but curious about her surroundings and learned very quickly. As she grew, she kept to herself most of the time for the exception of her childhood friend, Saturn, and spent a great deal of her time studying, always on the pursuit of knowledge. She also developed a hobby for magic, born of her arcane nature. Opal was a generally shy dragon, talking to few except for Saturn, her brother, and her familiar, Dazzle. Growing up also led Opal to discovering more complicated things: boys. A bad experience with her mother's ex-mate changed who she was dramatically. Not necessarily in a bad way, though. Presently, Opal occupies herself with her looks, If you ask her denmates what they think of her, the older ones may say that she's a sweet and intelligent girl, though her peers may beg to differ. Opal has yet to confirm what exactly happened to her first born daughters, some believe she drove them away, others believe she killed them herself. This rumor gave some of the clan the idea that Opal's mother, Estella's bloodline is cursed with insanity. Opal doesn't believe she's crazy. She made some mistakes in the past, huge ones, really. What's in the past is in the past. She can at least understand that, unlike her mother. The desire to kill is not a lingering thought in her mind. However, the desire to no longer live is something completely different.
