Meleine

Meleine was hatched from a union between the clan priest and the clan medic. Like all born of this clan, she earned her name by surviving through to adulthood, but she is extremely sickly and is constantly undergoing experimental treatments.

Uh.

Even before Meleine opened her eyes, she knew something was wrong. The entire left side of her body felt weighed down, paralyzed. However, as she was able to open both eyes without issue, she found that the weight was not because of sickness like she thought. There, practically sitting atop her, snoozed an adorable young dragon she didn't know.

The shock was too much-- her breath stuck in her throat and her diaphragm seized. Meleine didn't want to kick up a fuss and she certainly didn't want to wake the other dragon, but she couldn't help it-- she choked on nothing, gasping, wheezing, unable to cough, unable to breathe.

"A--ah! No! Protect--" In an instant, the young dragon was fully awake, shooting off of her and crying out with a cracking voice. "He-help! I'll get help! Healer!!"

As Meleine's vision faded to black, she just barely recognized the distinctive yellow-and-jade of her mother, Baylir.

Ynnir appeared one day out of the blue and has remained practically attached to Meleine ever since. Meleine doesn't particularly mind him and she is, in fact, grateful for the company...even if she doesn't understand this 'Charge' thing Ynnir is always going on about.
