Aes

Aes is the Priest of this clan. His duties include matters pertaining to the Plaguebringer and inter-clan communications. His clanmates see him as an unofficial leader of sorts.

Aes stumbled as an overly-affectionate weight shoved itself against his wings with a inquisitive chirrup. With a hummed curse, he shoved the weight aside with a lash of his tail. It brought him no small measure of satisfaction to hear the resulting squawk. Now unburdened, he inclined his head to where the pest had stumbled, "How many times do I have to tell you, Furor? Do not interrupt me when I am meditating!"

"Meditating?" Aes didn't even twitch as the other Coatl's volume assaulted his hearing. "Boring and all. Fight me?"

"Plaguebringer's sake, Furor. No."

Furor has taken a shine to Aes. Aes...is less than enthusiastic about it. He is, in fact, immensely envious of Furor's natural athleticism and the fact that he was hatched into the Plague element.

"Priest Aes?"

Aes turned his head. The clan's medic was easily recognizable by her fluting voice and shuffling steps. Sometimes, he wondered if she stepped extra-loud just for him. "Please, no titles necessary. I'm the only Priest this clan has." It had to be the twentieth time he's had to say that to his clanmates. "Now, what can I do for you?"

Baylir stepped closer. Aes's feathers twitched as he felt, more than heard, her tail drawing circles in the mushy earth between them. "I was thinking...maybe...you could help me with a little experiment...?"

Her tone had Aes biting back a groan, "Perhaps you've forgotten, but it is not ethical to perform experiments on the unhatched."

"Pfth. Spoilsport. Where's your professional curiosity?"

"The answer is no."

Baylir, while a sweet person, is something of a 'mad medic'. She likes experimenting on living creatures with strains of illness and mutagens. Aes finds this both endearing and exasperating. They share a light, amiable relationship.
