Notes:
-> How did Resharand come to find out about the cult? Why was he so interested? How/Why was he even accepted in the first place?
»About.
Despite Resharand's almost off putting assuredness and seemingly vapid nature, he is actually quite gifted. While not being born into it, Resharand is an incredibly devout plague dragon and is known for having been very astute in his earlier studies of the element and culture. His bielementality (mhm) and prior years off world eventually allowed Resharand to serve the cult in ways common members could not. Unfortunately due to a mysterious degenerative disease, he has been unable to reenter society and has instead fully devoted himself to the cult. In the small spaces of time when he is not working for the cult, he turns his attention toward his disease and vehemently studies the phenomenon that seems to only plague himself.
Resharand is the result of the worst possible outcome of elemental mixing or overlapping. While normally not a dangerous practice, past pinpricks of evidence point to a slight chance of mental and/or physical degeneration due to magical and chemical imbalances in the practicing individual, meaning that the possibility for the practice to be dangerous, is simply based on the multitude of random factors that compose the individual's chemical makeup. As times change, it has become increasingly difficult to research this phenomenon as there is less magic to react with than there once was in the dragon population.

Notes:
I'm not even sure what to do with this dude
"403" very close to being an error
Face, wings, legs, arms, and hands singed slightly and appear to be covered in immovable ash
His capsule is a cult illusion brought on by ritual sacrifice.

--just your eldest. Not by blood of course, but we were raised close enough. We don't look too different and now our elements are near indistinguishable. Though only through your stupendous training--if I do say so myself. It seems to have brought out quite a.. fiery side of you. I suppose because of that I can see why you left. Besides the obvious reason of course. Decampment and estrangement is near forbidden as you know... And the high priests thought you capable, plus the Mother favors growth of any kind. After all, who wouldn't want you representing them on that council. Ah.. although it tore you so far away from us. I do hope you think of us sometime in that lofty station of yours. I know we can't be represented to even the smallest degree, though with your brains I expect you could invent some political 'loophole' to do just that. Even so, I expect communication with us will cease soon. Affiliation with us may not seem ver' warranted by the 'Prise. As sappy as I am sounding I hope that we do not become too estranged. I wish you all the growth Mother can give you.

Signed, Your Brothers and Sisters.

The pale dragon's neck craned downward toward the returning dragon. The body of the eldest was strangely translucent and the black liquid in its belly sloshed and rippled with every movement, almost as if it wasn't an illusion. It was distracting, as distracting as it had ever been.
"You've been gone a long time, High Brother. Why have you come back to us?"

"To catch up of course. Do you still go by Resharand?"
Azael qued, his eyebrows loosely knitted together as if the information he was asking for was of great importance, yet he had a slight smirk on his face, like he was playing with a particularly slow mouse.
The dragon gave a pleasant hiss and grinned widely.

"Ah, no. Assigned not long ago to --reIforgottootoot---

"Of course not, High Rule would have made sure of that."

Resharand, what is the biggest development you've made while studying your disease?
40312255p.png "That's a good question. Something fascinating recently occurred to me. Bi-elementality is rare since most dragons don't attempt it and it tends to have negative repercussions on the user. Also, dragons born off planet don't have as much magic as the older, planet-born generations, with the exception of our council members! All except one per generation of our council members is expected to take on or have taken on a second element to represent in order to communicate with their respective AI Deities. This is of course because those chosen as representatives are some of the few with the ability to harness magic. All this is old news, but what's fascinating is that the council members are essentially told to shorten their lifespans for communication with the AIs. Where are their symptoms? That's what I want to know."

No more pearlcatchers for me. It's an intervention (I've gotten at least 5 since writing this)
