Biography

Jubilee
"And ah swear, that Mirr'r, he ran so fast he nearly blew mah hat off! A boy like that can keep up with a Wildclaw anyday, and probly out talk 'em, too."
-a surprised passerby

Who, who are you really?
Son of the Progenitors of the Aikka clan, Jubilee is one of the perimeter guards and next in line to become a clan leader. He's popular both inside and out of the clan, for having an easy and agreeable personality.

Jubilee is a dedicated and hard worker, like both his parents, and spends almost every day monitoring his portion of the borders, which covers the most southern side of the clan. Although he covers what is likely the least dangerous area of the clan, he always practices extra diligence--making sure to stop and interrogate anyone who crosses the borders without permission.

Outside of perimeter work, Jubilee studies under his parents to one day succeed them in the clan. He's learned many of the responsibilities that comes with running the clan and its needs, but he is too inexperienced to take over either's position at this point in time. The clan has high hopes for him, though, and there is no question that he will succeed at least one of them in the foreseeable future.

When not on the job, Jubilee is usually either socializing with clan mates, or lounging about with his Crowned Bonepriest familiar, Argot. Despite the confrontational and sometimes violent nature of his job, he's much more well known as a lover, spending time chatting with clan mates and telling fun stories to those that are feeling down. He's a great dragon to talk to when you're feeling lonely, and a good cuddler to boot. Like his father, he prefers belly rubs over everything else.

And where, where are you going?
The firstborn son of the clan's Progenitors and part of the first litter born in the clan, it's accurate to say Jubilee is as old as the clan itself is.

A generally happy-go-lucky kid, Jubilee was the pride of his parents, being both a fast runner and a fast learner. He was also known as a bit of a clown, with many dragons finding delight in the fact that his horns were much more flexible than normal, likely due to having a Fae for a mother, creating for a much more expressive set of head gear than usual. Many dragons find it endearing, the horns almost as expressive as any set of ears can be.

Jubilee's antlers are not apparel--they are prosthetic, grown (un)naturally through use of Nature mage magics. Jubilee has always had a strong bond with his father, and when Risen lost his right arm and wing in an explosion, he didn't want his pop to feel alone, so he asked to have prosthetics to be grown on him too, if just for support.

"Slow down, Juju, or you're going to tie yourself up in a knot. You're almost as anxious as a spiral... Life isn't always about being the first to the finish line."

"Hey, hey, are you gonna introduce me to that cute girl you've been flirting with? Wait, what? Yeah, dude, she was flirting with you. Didn't you notice?"

"Yes. Uh, yes. Yes? Oh, of course.... Umm. Umm. Can you, slow down, please? I... can't keep up. You talk, so fast, sometimes. Thank you!"

The call sounded from the far north--his father's territory, Jubilee knew--signalling there was trouble. For Risen to call for help, he knew it could not mean anything good, and so he left his post, quickly sprinting between trees and over fallen logs and rocks to find his father.

To little surprise, he arrived in a few short minutes to find a stampede of boars on a trajectory straight towards their nesting grounds. Jubilee quickly caught up to his father, who was struggling to make it to the head of the pack--he was getting on in years, and was not as fast as he used to be, but Jubilee had youth to spare, and quickly made it to the head of the herd.

The other two guards joined quickly, and pack instinct quickly took over as they circled the herd, the four Mirrors working without words to redirect the herd out of their territory,

Jubilee took the most dangerous, and most crucial, place in the formation, running just in front of the boars at the head of the herd. One misstep, one slip of the foot or awareness of his surroundings, and he'd be trampled underfoot by the mindless animals, grievously wounded or worse. But he had known these woods for half his life, and so he did not doubt himself or his path, for even a second of doubt in his own abilities could cost his life.

He baited the leader, a large, nasty, gnarled boar, whose tusks of blackened wood looked as if they had been broken off and regrown seven times over, swinging his tail in front of its face and kicking back with his feet when he dared, and only stopped when he saw the fear in the boars eyes turn to rage, and he knew he had the boar right where he needed it...
