BIOGRAPHY
"You were an experiment." "You were an accident." They might be two different things, but in his mind, they were the same. As the youngest, Hawthorn was sure that no one would find him remarkable. His siblings had vibrant colors or sweet personalities that ensured they were whisked away to new clans the moment Taji put them up for sale. So Hawthorn did what Nature dragons do best: he tended plants. Succulents, to be exact. So it came as a surprise to him when he was borne to a new home by a friendly, brightly-colored Mirror named Catastrina, and plopped into the nursery. His presence caught the eye of a young Skydancer named Zaïre, and the two became immediately inseparable. Zaïre had big dreams swimming in her deep purple eyes, and Hawthorn just wanted to have a lot of succulent children. They were an unlikely team...but a team nonetheless. Hawthorn helped where he could. His size made him awkward around the delicate inner rooms and lairs of the cast members, but while some sensitive dragons would complain, Zaïre never did. Her clever mind simply made things bigger to accommodate her partner, allowing him to go where he liked. While Hawthorn appreciated her consideration, he could easily be found tending to his children, hanging from the tall ceilings in glowing little pots, making for a beautiful and unique lighting system. His lovely wife also gifted him with the power to grow flowers that emitted a gentle glow, and were unlike anything he had ever seen in the Nature territories. His father, of Shadow birth, had told him of the mysterious flowers those gifted with Shadowbinder magic could see, invisible to the naked eye. Hawthorn treasured each of these special flowers that he grew, never forgetting the generosity of Zaïre's gift. |

Personality An introvert, Hawthorn is more comfortable helping than being the center of attention. He is generally shy and reserved, a calm presence compared to his wife's whirlwind tendencies. A sensitive soul who doesn't take criticism well, he is eternally grateful to Zaïre for protecting him. Though not a fighter by nature, Hawthorn has inborn magic tied both to his Nature roots and Shadow, as he was born during Trickmurk Circus, and he will use those to defend his wife and his plants until his last breath if pressed. |
