BIOGRAPHY
A Shadow dragon born during Trickmurk Circus is considered a blessing. The birth is celebrated in different ways, depending on the clan. Zaïre's parents blessed her with their combined magics. It was thought that the gift of a strange cocktail of Wind and Lightning magics would make her chaotic, and it was considered even more potent a spell to be performed on a single hatchling. But though she held powerful magic captive in her veins, little Zaïre took to invention as well as any Lightning hatchling, though her focus was not on the physical. A child born during Trickmurk has never known anything but partying: song and dance, parades and magic shows, and games. Games galore. Zaïre knew how she would make the fun never end. She would create a circus, called the Circus of Shadows. It would not be a fun, pastel circus, but one with darker, muted colors, performed only after night had fallen on the quiet Nature clan she became a part of shortly after hatching. Beneath the shadows of the great, tall trees, when the lights of her neighbors would dim, her circus would come to life at the edge of the woods, drawing travelers with the snell of fresh and sweet popcorn made with tree syrup, a wispy treat known as "Spider Silk" that came in many different colors, and the sound of eerie, but somehow comforting, music from within the tent. And there she would stand, as Ringmistress, rising above it all. |

Personality Zaïre is quite a large and in charge character for being a tiny Skydancer. An extrovert, she feels happiest when she is interacting with others, and loves the atmosphere of her circus tent, which matches the colors on her hide. Haughty and somewhat vain, she is not so much obsessed with her physical appearance, but rather values her intellect, and can become quite jealous if someone seems more knowledgable than her about something. Unbeknownst to most of her cast members, her inherent magic is what helps keep the circus together, which is also why it seems that time passes differently beneath the tent's silky walls. |
