Malchiore

Malchiore was born, rather immaculately made, from his mother, Gruoch, and the Shade. He was made as a replacement for one that had failed, who was meant to usher in a new era of Darkness - Rosnaithe.

Unlike his elder half brother, he was obedient and studious since childhood, and was easily shaped into a great warrior king. His gifts from the Shade were not as strong as Rosnaithe's, who could create and alter the fabric of people and things, but instead he could take mana from those he encountered.
As a teen, his first take was a strong fire mage, and as such he was gifted with fire magic. He harnessed this mana-leeching and instead of gaining more types of magic, his fire has only grown in heat and strength.
When older, he hunted down Rosnaithe, to finally end questions to his great inheritance, and took his magic. Rosnaithe's magic was so ingrained into the very makings of his body that all color drained from him with it.
An attempt on Rosnaithe's life was made, but he managed to slip away just in time, vowing never to return.

In his prime adulthood, he has displaced any claims to the throne of Cathaire, and now sits upon it unquestioned. He rules with an iron fist...ever listening to the dark, soothing voice behind the throne.
