Mariana was born a tundra. An offpsring of an forgotten old tribe of tundras, that roamed through the Leviathan Trench instead of the cold ice fields. Mariana tried to explore her origins and met another tundra that shared the same roots. Tonga, so was his name, helped her learn more about their ancestors, they became mates and had plenty of beautiful children once they joined a water clan. But their paths were ment to fork when the clans queen lost her faith. Mariana and Tonga disputed a lot, they fought about their destiny and while Tonga didn't want to abandon his queen, Mariana was fed up with the clan and wished to move on. She later learned that the disrupted peace within the clan had convinced Tonga to join the Tidelords forces.
She however wanted to do something else. She had enough of chasing the shadows of the ancestors path and wished to start over. She explored Sornieth for a few years, went here and there and then someday, she got her hands on a magical artifact that was said to carry the Arcanists magic.

As she touched the relic and mubled the syphers that were encarved in the metal, her body became numb. She changed.
After her transformation into a fae Mariana was devastated. She lost the tone in her voice and had difficulties communicating with any species. Faes wouldn't understand her because she lacked the experience in using her frills, and other dragons would get offended or irritated by the lack of tunes in her voice. Mariana left the well populated areas and searched for the Wishing Well, that was run by an old clan friend of her.

Upon arrival she met a spiral. She learned about his story and soon after, the two dragons fell in love. They decided to stay with Honeycrisp and Swamp, Mariana becoming an insect hunter.
