Tonga and Mariana, Atlas’ parents, were draw to the edge of the Sea of a Thousand Currents by the calls of their long-lost ancestors alone. The call of the ocean, the summoning of the Tidelord, had resonated with their souls, defying and destroying the power the Lightweaver and Plaguebringer held over their magic. Unlike his parents, however, Atlas was born under the Tidelord’s protection. With the magic of a water dragon, perhaps even more than most, there was nothing to stop the young dragon’s venture into the darkest depths of the Sea.

Nothing par his age.

While Atlas’ sister felt little to no desire to explore the dangerous, mukey depths the small family called home, Atlas himself was renown through out his home clan for wandering off at the smallest opportunity. In an attempt to appease their youngest son’s appetite for adventure (and, okay, perhaps a little to satiate their own lust for the water’s depths), Tonga and Mariana shifted into a temporary air cave nest down in the Leviathan Trench with the blessing of both Mistress, their own clan leader, and Torny, the holder of the nest.

Atlas’ relentless escapes failed to cease, however, and Tonga and Mariana quickly found themselves sleep deprived as the pair took up shifts guarding the entrance to the temporary lair. Without the ability to recover their restless hatchling themselves, as their heritage failed to provide them the ability to breath underwater, the parents were left with little to no options when it came to protecting the few children they’d bared.

And then Triton appeared.

Moving to the trenches had been amazing, Atlas thought. Here was a whole new area to explore, a new world even his parents knew nothing about, and it was all just outside of his door. There was, however, an issue… it was outside of his door.

And his door was guarded.

So far, the last ten of his expeditions had been halted before he could even get halfway down the entrance tunnel. The water had lapped away at the rocky floor tauntingly, whispered laughter bubbling on the shore’s frothy tips.

Now, though, Atlas could feel the salt scrapping at his claws. Mum was asleep, and dad had been distracted by his sister’s whining complaints about the algae smell permeating the den. He had to move fast now— the tiny tundra picked up his pace as the salt built up on his paws, increasing the friction induced sound when his paws met the stone below him. Two more paces, one more, and—

The world shifted around Atlas. Gravity surged, and the pressure from the water around him pushed his fur closer to his tiny form. A glowing fish darted past Atlas’ awestruck gaze, a singular shining light penetrating the inky black abyss

Unlike his younger sister doom is very eager to learn the history of his ancestors. He loves the water and is everything but afraid of waves and depths. He is a natural swimmer and his parents are proud to teach him the ways. Doom is called a little curse by others because were ever he goes, unfortunes are going to take place even though he himself won't be the one harmed.
