Biography

Calypso is a dancer who occasionally provides entertainment for Leo's tavern in the evenings, and teaches dance during the day. He is a dedicated learner and can at least fake his way through every style he's come across, though his true passion is fan dance. As a teacher he's patient and willing to go over steps as many times as needed. As a performer, however, his partner had better be as quick as he is and as skilled if they ever want to work with him again. He has a reputation to maintain, after all! Outside of dance (the only thing he takes seriously) Calypso is surprisingly carefree. When not practicing, he loves a good sand bath or comedy radio show. He's not a complicated guy. |

Although Bruc attends as many performances as he can, the Guardian has two left feet (not to mention the size difference!) and so can't participate as much as they both would like. Bruc would like to compensate by showing Calypso his work, but unfortunately Spike's rules on cave access cannot be budged even for love. |

Helen is also a trained dancer and although she (usually) doesn't publicly display her skills, she and Calypso will occasionally meet at his studio and take a couple whirls around the room. For him, it's good practice to work with someone who's not a student. For her, it's a nostalgic indulgence, a way to dust off the memories of her glory days. |

Bruc was the one who introduced Calypso and Ilya, but it seems like Ilya far prefers the company of the Mirror. Calypso is fine with this; the hermit doesn't spend much time aboveground but when he does he has the most fascinating stories. |
