Biography
VETUS
CLAN MATRIARCH
CLAN MATRIARCH
Mate: None Familiar: Safari the Brilliant Psywurm Sexuality: Asexual Aromantic |
initiative - determined - distant
She never knew her parents. The only thing she knows about them is that they left her in the Starfall Isles, the place in which she hatched. Not long after she hatched a wandering Brilliant Psywurm found her and, taking pity on the tiny hatchling, took her in. Over time the two grew into an inseparable pair; they became so close, in fact, that they found their own way to communicate with one another. As the Guardian grew, her Psywurm mother could tell that the dragoness was becoming restless. Knowing that she needed to go, the Guardian, along with her Psywurm, began the instinctive journey that all Guardians take. She left the Starfall Isles, the place she had called home since hatching, and headed south. Why she headed south, she has no idea, but from the moment she had stepped onto the Icewarden's turf she just knew that her home was in the icy terrain. While she knew the Southern Icefields were to be her home, it still took her and her Psywurm a long while to adapt to the colder temperatures. It was as she began to adapt when she started to build a home, a place to settle and to call her own. It wasn't long before other dragons somehow found out about this Arcane-eyed dragoness and her Brilliant Psywurm. Some dragons stayed, some went. Some stayed for a while and then left. She has seen many dragons come and go. As her little home began to form into a clan, the Guardian realized that she had been nameless ever since hatching. She soon named herself Vetus and graced her loyal companion, and also her charge, with the name of Safari. Over time Vetus has learned to be a wonderful leader, a dragoness that has captured the loyalty of many. Vetus has always been the type of dragon to act independently and to assess situations and surroundings and come forth with a clear idea or solution. With this level headed decision making, Vetus quickly became respected in her new home and soon she found dragons coming together and making a home that revolved around her as leader. Taking up the position as matriarch and leader, Vetus has certainly grown into quite the dragoness. She holds her clan together with a determined grip, never letting anything that befalls her clan to ruin what has been established. With her determination a sort of stubbornness can be found in this dragon for she will not back down from anything even if it's obvious she will lose in the end. She doesn't give up, doesn't back down. Vetus fights for what she believes in almost rashly at times. Given her position and all the decisions she must make and all the requirements, Vetus has become somewhat distant to the rest of her clanmates. She still cares for all that reside in her clan, but she rarely can be seen spending one on one time with another dragon that doesn't revolve around business. Her true emotions and feelings are distant and kept away from any peeking eye. |
