Permuda was hatched and raised in the Skylight clan. Even as Vetus's daughter, she was not raised in such a way that would make her seem more important or special than any of her clanmates. Vetus raised her as she would any other hatchling should be raised. As Permuda grew older, she was expected to leave the clan and find her calling just as her two brothers had, but she stayed. Deep down she could feel that she belonged in her birth clan. Even still, this did not keep her from wandering around the Southern Icefields in search of a charge. During her adventures she discovered a lot about herself; she discovered that she had a passion for finding artifacts of long ago. Permuda also learned, during her travels, from an old and nomadic group of Ice dragons about how the Icewarden's terrain used to be much larger. The ice had been melting, the land shrinking. This information truly got to the pink Guardian. It was then that she decided to do all she could to help and protect the environment. To her that felt like her calling, it felt like her Charge. Permuda found something to protect no matter how large the idea of protecting the environment is.
After three long months on her journey, Permuda returned home. The clan had thought she had left on her Search and would never return, yet while she had unintentionally went on her Search, she also knew that she belonged where she had been hatched, something that was completely uncommon for Guardians. Luckily she was happily welcomed back into the clan without a trace of doubt from her clanmates.
A few months later a patrol came back with more than just food for the clan. Permuda noticed a small and shivering Corundum Chameleon huddled against Aquila. She gladly took it in, allowing it to nest inside of her furry coat. They soon became inseparable, and Permuda and the newly named Huckleberry became dragon and familiar.

This dragoness is the kind that does not need anybody to help her or look out for her, oh no, she can quite easily take care of herself. Even if she actually did need help she wouldn't quite ask for it given how stubborn she is to show her independence. Luckily she can get over obstacles all by herself, but there have been a few times in which she had to, unfortunately for her, rely on another dragon or two. Her independent nature really comes out when she leaves the clan all by herself, save for Huckleberry, to go and explore the Icewarden's territory. Permuda is also very passionate about her interests. She is the type of dragon that could go on and on about how important it is for the Southern Icefields to be saved and how amazing it feels when she digs up something ancient from the icy land. She cares deeply about what she believes in, and because of her stubborn nature, she will not let any dragon stop her from living her life as the passionate dragon she is. As another thing, Permuda is quite quick-witted. Very easily can she come back with a retort or spicy comment if some dragon talks down about her or anything she enjoys. She does not let anybody get away without a scathing if they talk down about her. Even in just friendly teasing and playing she is quick to shoot back a witty comment, and she's the kind of dragon that keeps everybody on their toes.
