DESCRIPTION

Karmin began his life as a Guardian, and was the one who established the original clan with Mariana by his side. He fought both VoidWalker and TimeCatcher when they moved to overthrow himself and his mate. The battle was long and the powerful Guardian fought with all his might, but unfortunately did not succeed. Bloodied, defeated, and at the wildclaws mercy, Karmin still resisted the cruel pair. To make him a more manageable living trophy, he had his memory ripped away from him and his life completely reset.

Karmin, despite his mental reset, acts much like his original self. He is a dragon of few words,
best avoided due to his short temper, strength and intelligence in combat. The poor skydancer does have a mild case of forgetfulness, and sometimes needs to be reminded of tasks or order he was assigned, but this tends to lead to Karmin getting incredibly confused very often.

Much to the clan's displeasure, Karmin surprisingly still stays by Mariana's side. He has a tendency to shadow the sad sack of a pearlcatcher and when asked why the skydancer would never know. Many believe it's just because he feels the need to comfort the griefstricken dragon, others believe that Karmin may be lying about his lack of memories, and only a select few think that the Skydancer does it because his heart couldn't forget his love for his charge and so continues to follow his duty as Mariana's protector. No matter the rumors, Karmin has no idea why he is inseparable from Mariana, only that it's necessary to be with her until the end of time.

DESCRIPTION CONTINUED

The sound of screams, laughter, and claws scraping along the stone. It sounds familiar but feels different. This isn't the way it's supposed to be...the thought nags at the back of my mind.

No no stop thinking like that Karmin. It isn't right. Everything is as it should be. Dark, reeking of death...screams of agony...and sobs of sorrow.

The pearlcatcher sat down in a dark corner, shaking and crying. Maria? Marli? No...no... it starts with an M but I can never remember.

'Why do you do this?' she asks. I don't know how to answer. Why do I do this? I don't even know her name. I had never seen her before, surely I would have remembered meeting such a heartbroken soul?

Nothing comes to mind, but I need to do something. Sit by her...who? Oh yes her, the sad one. Why is she so sad? It doesn't matter...yes it does matter. My chest feels tight near her, like a strangler gripping my heart. Don't worry my love...my Mariana....I will never leave your side.
