Keir never really had a Search; the moment he hatched and laid eyes on the frozen roof of his parents' den, he knew he was destined to live there his entire life. This was all well and good until he realized the lifespan of a little hovel carved into the side of an ice floe was significantly shorter than that of a Guardian dragon. So when a group of strange dragons with bright blue eyes came to him, asking about contracts and research stations and construction plans, it was honestly kind of a relief.

He's not thrilled with Merrill's ongoing quest to adopt the entire ocean, but she's quite literally keeping the station afloat. And, well, she's very charming. So he'll take what he can get.
  • Keir does most of the manual labour and repairs around the station, on account of 1) being a big strong Guardian, 2) having a personal stake in its survival, and 3) the fact that he is technically otherwise unemployed.
