Lore Chlorine was hatched near the end of his mother's years-long effort to travel the world in search of new information and new ideas for experiments in her favorite field of study, chemistry. His mother, Fluorine, may have been hatched in Light and as devoted to the pursuit of scientific and philosophical truth as any good child of the Lightweaver, but she found herself serving as Clan Adeptica's de facto Wind representative, owing to her equally-strong love for traveling to new places and seeing new things. Chlorine was hatched on a winter's day by the Sea of a Thousand Currents. As the only Bogsneak in a nest of Spiral siblings, Chlorine was initially very confused as to why he wasn't as flexible as they were, but his father explained why he was different and where Bogsneaks had originally come from. Chlorine found that story fascinating, and couldn't decide at first whether he wanted to be an alchemist too, or a scientific chemist like his mother. Fortunately, his mother brought him back to the Starfall Isles, a region so rich in academic resources that he didn't have to choose. In both the Starfall Isles and the Sea of a Thousand Currents, seawater is plentiful, but fresh water can be hard to find. As an adult, Chlorine works to address that problem by finding efficient and effective desalination methods, ensuring that all dragons in the area have plenty of fresh water available. He may use chemistry or magic to perform this task, as the mood strikes and the resources are available. In Clan Adeptica, all Water dragons had always shared their own particular bond thanks to their ability to glimpse the future. At the time of the Tidelord's disappearance, Chlorine was the youngest of the clan's Water dragons, so the loss didn't hit him quite as hard as it did some of his elders. On the day they realized their deity had vanished and taken their precognition with him, they all grieved together, and they all agreed to wear grey and black scarves as a sign of their mourning. Chlorine once had a brief relationship with a pretty Imperial named Xiangmei, but she was an adventurer too, and, just like his mother had, she returned to her clan with their hatchlings. He is currently without a mate, but is open to finding a new one sometime. |

I was saving this dragon for this breeding project, but it is now complete! Now, Chlorine is one of two candidates I'm offering for this search for a male dragon with lore from a lore clan. He and Dove make adorable white hatchlings with wings in a very broad range of colors.
