Necro: Necromancer

"Yes, I realize his name is- er- descriptive. To be fair to me, at the time I had no idea it would stick. If it helps, you can simply address him as "The Necromancer"

Necro's egg was abandoned in the Ghostlight Ruins, and he hatched alone. He spent the first year of his life alone, he grew up in isolation, living on the outskirts of beastclans society. Later in his life, an elderly longneck man taught Necro to read, letting the young dragon explore his private collection of magician's tomes. It was here where necro first developed his passion for necromancy. He began to practice his art on dead sparrows, slowly improving his craft until the day he came across the body of a murdered skydancer discarded in a field of roses. He'd never previously brought a sapient being back from the dead- but he couldn't bear to leave the body where it lay. That night he reread every book on re-animation he'd ever found, scouring over them until he could hardly see straight, this was when he begun the ritual. By morning the skydancer had been brought back to life, however she had fallen victim to one of the many dangers of bringing sentient beings back from dead, she had lost all of her pre-death memories.

Despite her loss, the skydancer was grateful to be resurrected. She took an immediate shine to Necro and his talents. The two of them decided to stick together, and Necro grew comfortable with the presence of this skydancer. At this point neither of them had names, so they took to naming each other.

She named him Necro, short for "The Necromancer", what she had always called him. In turn, he picked a flower from the field he'd found her body rotting under and preserved the pale white rose with his magic. He used this flower to gesticulate his name for her, and she has kept it ever since.

Since the resurrection of Rose, Necro has perfected his craft, becoming one of the shadow flight's most prolific necromancers.

While nocturnes are best known for their ability to mimic speech and other sounds, Necro is eerily quiet. Despite his apparent muteness, Necro enjoys the conversation and company of his clanmates, often holding his ground in debate using nothing but gestures.
