personality Like his sister Deepti, Gulshan is an adept of earth magic. However, he is less talented than she is, and prefers to use his intuition of the earth to navigate the current reality rather than cause world-shattering change. Even in a dark cave, deep underground, he always knows which way is true North. He is blind. He prefers to be barefoot so he can "sense" the earth beneath his feet. His ability to move earth is useful in building structures and navigation. history Gulshan had been fine where he was, really, but that clan had told him it was time to move on. But, being blind, moving to a new clan was a bit more strenuous. He couldn't fly there alone, so he would need an escort, or he would have to go on foot. He started out across the land, following the leylines in the earth. He traversed sick lands and magical lands until the earth stopped, dropping away into a churning sea. There he sat, at the edge of the water, waiting. The leylines called him forward, but he was hesitant to go where he could not see. A week later, something bumped against the earth that he rested on. But no feet alit on the shore. A voice called to him from somewhere above. "Hey buddy - you waiting for a ride?" "You need a ride?" "I can take you." "Where you going?" "Oooooh are you blind? What face am I making?" Great, Gulshan thought to himself, of course it had to be a spiral... He tilted his head in the direction of the voice, where no doubt there was a spiral spinning and twisting in the air above him. "I need to go that way," he pointed out over the water. "Can you take me?" "Just that way? Sure!" It took a bit, but Gulshan managed to convince the spiral to help him get down to the ship tethered below. It was small to hold a guardian, but it would do.
